GLYCOL Hercules cryo-tek 100 antifreeze is premixed with a 70% concentration of glycol, and when mixed down, should be used with your boiler. This provides burst protection in the event power is interrupted. Your geographic location will determine the needed percent of glycol concentration to provide adequate burst/freeze protection for the heat source and tubing. Glycol concentration should not exceed 50% for most applications, with 30% preferred. Unnecessarily high glycol concentrations will reduce the BTU output of your heat source and increase pump head pressure. |
